Mullaitivu Mission
A transformative four-day journey into the heart of Mullaitivu, bringing education, practical skills, and profound spiritual guidance to over 170 children across three distinct villages.
Day 1: Arrival & Setup
We arrived early in the morning at Vattappalai, setting up our mobile IT lab and baking stations. The children were incredibly eager, waiting in line before we even finished unpacking. We spent the evening conducting our first HOPE session around the fire.
Day 2: Intensive Workshops
The second day focused entirely on practical skills. While half the group learned basic typing and software navigation, the other half was immersed in home science, learning to bake and manage household resources effectively.
Day 3: Outreach & Community
We expanded our reach to Kovil Kudiyiruppu. The focus shifted to English literacy and community bonding. The day ended with an incredible worship session where the youth led the chorus.
Day 4: Farewells & The Future
Our final day in Mullivaikkal was emotional. We distributed certificates of completion to the students and left behind educational materials to ensure the learning continues long after our departure.
